Tapestry Wall Hangings
The Artisan Collection
The wall hangings in this new collection have been created with Windwalker’s hand spun and hand plied yarns, using natural colors, hand dyed and commercially dyed fibers. The primary wools used are Blue Faced Leicester, Wensleydale, Romney, Shetland and Corriedale. Much of what is spun comes from flocks and studios here on Whidbey Island. Each creation features hand stitched backings and hand braided hangers. They are named, and signed by the artist. These are the next generation of Windwalker’s hand made interior design art.
“Gifts from Our Mother’s Waters”
My latest tapestry woven on one my Mirrix looms. The dimensions are 11” wide by 27” high. It was woven with vintage yarns that I re-spun, then plied together in varying combinations. The shell are from Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico waters, and it’s hung on a beautiful piece of black bamboo and the back is fully lined and signed.

The buttons range from antique to contemporary, it’s hung on a beautiful piece of black bamboo and the back is fully lined and signed.
