Swallows Nest

Too many years of too much work, too little time together and not enough laughter. Again we’d cancelled a planned get away for work demands. I looked at my Love as she turned, hiding her tears. ìNo more!î I said, as I took her in my arms. That day we quit life as we thought it should be. We sold everything we didn’t’ need but thought we should have. We laid our hearts and our buried dreams on our last little table. Then we made plans. As those plans unfolded, this extraordinary forest home fell into our laps and a home business bloomed. Six months from that fateful day, on a summer-warmed morning, I tossed flower petals to my laughing Water Goddess as she drifted in our clear forest pool,

swallows soaring in the golden light.
