She Calls Her Children

Throughout the course of our living, transitioning, then living again, there is always a sense of something omniscient and ever present. It’s a source, a wholeness to which we know we belong. In this painting, I express that wholeness as a Mother who calls her children home,   always to send them back out on a new adventure. We all come from the same place, and experience the joy of that unity whenever we go home to our Mother. I think that Kahlil Gibran said it best in The Prophet, “A little while, a moment of rest upon the wind, and another woman shall bear me.”
