“Please be advised that you have inherited a house, property and a trust …” announced the very official looking document. We laughed, then sighed. It had to be a hoax, of course. Six months later we watched a glorious sunset from the balcony of our exquisite hilltop home, on the opposite side of the country. The lawyers had been adamant that to inherit we must live here year ‘round, then pass this lovely place on to “just the right person,” when the time was right. It was NOT to be sold and the giver was always to remain anonymous. With surprising relief, we let go of our fast tracks and flew to our new life with open arms.
