Depending on the day, the phase of the moon, the way the mist interacts with the sun’s rays or the mood of the Islands, these floating treasures can be seen drifting on the air currents amidst the more grounded islands of Pacific Northwest waters. How often they descend to float on the cold waters of the Northwest rather than drift on the salty air is anyone’s guess. The residents are emphatically protective of these mystical bits of Earth and consider themselves their guardians. It’s an honor to be invited to stay on the Floating Islands and those who do never see the world in quite the same way again. For them the term “anything is possible” takes on a whole new meaning . . .
